Great Chevron pattern side table!

I wanted to make this cute little table pop with a pattern that is classic and fun.  I went with a white chevron.  Looks very tuxedo-y to me.  I love the playful pattern with the classic lines.  As always, hate to part with it but it is going on Saturday to The Market.  Ignore the messy desk.  The rains have brought me indoors to finish this up and I didn't think to put things away.  If any one wants to pay that electric bill on the desk, call me!

More to The Market

Okay we are seriously selling like crazy at The Market!  Which is awesome but we need to get busy!!

Here is a wonderful rolling server that I will be taking on Wednesday to the shop.  It has two sides that raise and take this from 40" to over 69"!  Wow, that's a lot of space for yummies!!  Sorry about pics from the workroom, it will look even better at The Market :)  Color is grey with silver highlights and stencil.  So pretty!

Another day

I have been putting the finishing touches on our Holiday Cheer at the homestead.  It hasn't left me with much time for furniture inspiration but I did make these adorable little trees for the kitchen. They are so cute that daughter even wanted me to make one for her!  Thats pretty good!  I used antique sterling for mine to get that pretty glow and rich color.  I tied the pieces on with twine which gives it a cute, homey touch.  So cute!

Another fun addition!

Here is another fun piece that will head to The Market next week.  This chest of drawers is painted a great linen color and then fabric was added to the drawers - just for something different.  Hope you like it!

A few new pieces, a little rearranging and voila - is that a word?

So Kathy brought this gorgeous antique chair, newly recovered and we decided to set up a pretty little vignette.  Looks so good - I want to keep them!  But I have a really mean husband who says " if you bring something home, something else needs to go".... Blah, blah.... and yes, he is too big for me to haul off to make room for my treasures.  Oh well, someone else will love these pieces too!

I am soooooo tired today!  Take a look at these fabulous pieces that I delivered to The Market today.  Delivery also means moving/arranging furniture to make room for the new pieces!  So fun but so tiring! Okay - nighty!

But this cabinet is still cute and could be used where the sides aren't too noticed.  Arrrggghhhh - veneer repair isn't for me, clearly.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

The Open House is this weekend!  We have all been bringing in fun and unique items for the holidays!
This little table started out very golden brown.  Had that whole 1960s retro feel to it and it just said "I am Santa's cookies table".  I agreed!  It turned out really adorable!!  Available at The Market!

Oh My Gosh!  We have so many new pieces at The Market.  We are gearing up for a great Open House!  Plan to come by and check us out!

This is such a wonderful vintage piece for the end of a bed!  Gives you a place to put those bed pillows so the dogs don't sleep on them!  I am thinking it is 1940s.  Its in great shape and the storage is awesome.  Check it out!

Getting that Holiday feeling!

I guess a lot of people collect childrens chairs.  They use them for display alone or in groups. This adorable child's chair has been painted for Christmas and will be available at the Market soon! Hard to say which is cuter Gus or the chair?  Ah kidding, it's Gus! (he can read!)

Victorian Vanity

This pretty victorian vanity was in bad shape when I came across it at a local resale shop. So after a few repairs, I painted her grey and highlighted the top with white.  Some fresh white knobs and it looks wonderful!  Then it made it's trip to Llano to The Market!

Olive dresser

Oh this turned out so FAB!  The top of this dresser was in great shape so I decided to wax it and leave it.  I picked this terrific olive paint color.  Then I distressed and clear waxed.  The wood knobs are from our fav craft shop and are a great match for the top.  I definitely want to use this color in my house.  It is so gorgeous and rich looking!

Stars in My Eyes!

I don't think that either of us 'hunting honeys' will be posting on a daily basis, but we are very excited to share our great finds and the process of readying what we bag (hunting reference) for the shop.  We aren't very good about before photos so I don't have any to post today but the afters are worth a peek!  Tell your friends, neighbors, co-workers, enemies, relatives (guess those could be covered by one of the previous), and people you just run into on the street about our blog.  We need followers!  Please help!!!

Can you stand how cute these little chairs are?  The Hunt began at a local antiques store.  I stalked the chairs slowly, checking them out from all angles.  I was afraid I would be spooked off by the pricing but was lured by a 30% off booth sign!  I raised my weapon (wallet) and took 'em down (to my SUV).  These little chairs started their transition very chippy, many coat of several colors of paint.  They were painted ASCP Louis Blue with Emperor's Silk stars.  I distressed them pretty heavily and then used light wax and a little dark wax here and there.  They are sturdy but look nice and worn.  I love them!!
